Custom theming

In addition to creating great downloadable premium themes, TopNotchThemes also does custom graphic design and Drupal theming for clients. Our dedicated team of on-staff Drupal themers are fast and professional, and they have deep experience in a wide variety of project sizes and styles.

Some clients come to us with a completed design needing theming, while others need a full-service solution — from graphic design concept to completed Drupal theme. We’ve also customized several of our premium themes for clients for a more economical, yet still customized, solution.

Now we also offer custom theming based on our acclaimed Fusion base theme, which delivers incredible ease-of-use and point-and-click customization to your site administrators.

Cost

The cost of a fully custom theme varies depending on the complexity of the design, number of pages, and other details. However, a very rough estimate is that most projects are between $3000-$8000 for themes where you already have the photoshop design mockups, or between $5000-$10000 where we do the design as well as the theming. If you have a smaller project or one with a budget under this range, let us know and we can provide references to other Drupal themers who may be able to help.

Graphic design & theming

Remos Aircraft

The client was in the process of reinventing their branding and imagery. Having already completed updated printed materials, they wanted a new look and feel for their website to match. TopNotchThemes created the dramatic design and corresponding Drupal theme for their new site. It features a custom homepage layout with carousel, Views theming, content type theming, and additional custom slideshows to display images and content throughout the site. Visit site

This client had a strong idea of design direction, with a color palette and several product and category sketches already created which were scanned and needed to be incorporated into the design. As an Ubercart site, it also required extensive theming of the catalog and product pages. Visit site

Design Tribe

This project was a redesign of an existing site, keeping the existing layout and some of the same color palette, while updating the look to a more modern, web 2.0 feel. The site has complex, integrated functionality, so we worked closely with their development team in order to theme the output as required.

Washington Media

A small project to create an elegant, corporate design and theme quickly for their site. Some similar sites were provided as examples, and our team created the design and theme, as well as provided assistance with implementation. Visit site

Joshua Brauer

Josh wanted a theme that radiated his personality for his new blog. Combining these elements was a challenge but the end result is a beautiful custom theme that is his very own! This theme is based on Fusion, but shows its very un-grid-like nature with the highly organic elements used here. Visit site

The Lackner Group

This client is a financial software provider for a specialty market. They needed a clean, corporate look for their market. Several design mockups and a theme were created based on extensive wireframes created by Lullabot.

PoseTech

PoseTech needed a design refresh of their current site while migrating to Drupal — an updated look without a complete overhaul. Taking the style and layout of their existing site into consideration, we gave them a more modern look and theme to match.

Big Game Hunt

This theme was created from mockups provided by the client. They were switching from a custom content management system to Drupal and wanted to do things right. We created the theme and provided site development, consulting, and module recommendations for their site. It features a custom Fusion grid, Panels theming, Advanced Forum theming, Views theming, and various custom style changes throughout the site. Visit site

Rheum MD

This theme was created from mockups provided by the client. The site runs on Fusion and uses a combination of Panels and standard block regions. It has fairly intricate theming, particularly of forms, user profile pages, and custom workflows depending on account status. Fusion + Skinr are used for the different block and pane styles, including icons and Signwriter for dynamic text replacement of the headers in different colors. Visit site

Genesys

Genesys provided mockups for this site, which we themed and also created custom Panels for. We also had a consulting role on this project, providing Drupal implementation assistance where needed. Visit site

EthicShare

This project, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and built by the University of Minnesota, was to create a Drupal theme based on several mockups from the client. Extensive theming of the Organic Groups and Calendar modules were also done. Visit site

Customization of TNT theme

Blueprint Education

This customization of the Sharp Sales theme was done using Blueprint’s branding to get them a "semi-custom" theme. The Skinr module was also integrated so the client had an easy way to apply styles as needed. Visit site

A modification of the Bubblr theme brings out InPerfectOrder’s sparkling personality!

HolidayLEDs

This is another customization of the Sharp Sales theme. We also provided some consulting on improving the shopping experience for Ubercart, implementing small changes to increase conversion rates. Visit site
