Status update on TopNotchThemes & Fusion
Hello Drupallers! I wanted to make a post to address some confusion about our sites and plans going forward. As you (hopefully) know, we’ve launched our new theming system and line of premium themes, called Fusion.
Here’s the status:
- Half a dozen TNT themes have been rebuilt as Fusion themes, and their product pages here on TopNotchThemes point to the new version
- Themes will continue to be ported, at least a couple a month until all popular themes have been upgraded
- Several new theme designs are also up on the Fusion site, and all future themes will be Fusion only
- After most themes have been upgraded (likely Q3), TopNotchThemes.com will no longer operate as a theme store and will relaunch as our company site showcasing custom work and design/Drupal theming services
So… should I still buy a TopNotchThemes.com theme?
Absolutely! Our TNT Drupal themes are still awesome themes and 110% supported. You’ll get a free upgrade to the Fusion version when it’s released, so don’t hesitate if there is a design that you love here on the site that’s not yet available as a Fusion theme.
What about the Acquia themes?
Acquia Marina has a 3.x Fusion port up, and Acquia Slate’s is coming very very soon. The 2.x (non-Fusion) branch of the free Acquia themes will continue to be supported, but once the 3.x branches hit beta, we recommend that you upgrade for all the new hotness.
Thanks for your patience during our period of transition!

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for clearing this up. I was indeed confused about the new site and I think that topnotchthemes.com as the company site + fusiondrupalthemes.com as a shop will work out just fine.
I do wonder how collectivemind.net fits into all this, since it hasn't been updated since 2008. Perhaps you should just remove the link from the about page?
Hey Wim, glad to hear this clarified things.
Good point about the Collective Mind site. Chris has had some new plans for that too though :) That's officially our company name, so it is more of a personal/musings/umbrella site... probably not worth linking here at this point though.
I'm currently using Zen as a Drupal theme and I'm just discovering Fusion. I like its grid based system. I'm definitively going to try it with one of my new sites. Thanks.
I am still a bit confused.
Regarding your last bullet point - does that mean that the topnotchthemes.com site will live, but as a show case site for your custom work/theming services and fusiondrupalthemes.com will henceforth be the theme store?
