Free Acquia Marina Drupal Theme from TopNotchThemes
TopNotchThemes is excited to be able to offer our new Acquia Marina theme, developed for Acquia, as a free GPL-licensed theme on Drupal.org. This is the same theme that ships with the recently released Acquia Drupal distribution.
We’ve put a lot of research and effort into all of our Drupal themes, and we’re glad to have this opportunity to show off an example of the results to everyone, whether or not they choose to purchase one of our premium themes. Our goal is to pack as much power, flexibility, and gorgeous design as possible into each and every one of our themes, and Acquia Marina is no exception.
Designed especially for Acquia for blogs and community sites, Acquia Marina is also flexible enough to be used for a wide variety of site types and layouts. The theme includes 15 collapsible content regions and our advanced theme settings, which allow an incredible amount of customization from the point-and-click admin interface. All without requiring you to install any additional modules.
Acquia Marina is a bright, colorful, and cheerful theme with added graphic touches like block title icons, dropdown menus, unique content styling for different regions, and background fades. We also put in extra effort to theme for views, forums, pagers, lists, tabs, buttons, form fields, and innumerable other small details. Moreover, we’ve tested Acquia Marina using a variety of browsers, such as Firefox 2 & 3, Safari, Opera, and Internet Explorer 6 & 7.

Will this theme be entitled for future updates?
For instance, consider that Drupal 7.x has finally matured and hits the mainstream production servers. Will there be a port of this theme to that particular Drupal version? (I reinstate for the less cautions readers, IF and WHEN Drupal 7.x matures)
The Acquia Marina theme looks great and is an awesome contribution to Drupal. Hopefully this will result in more great looking themes being available for Drupal in the future.
ah, great to know that you guys did this. i will be learning to theme before too long, and have been wondering what makes a theme really "top notch".

Webmister, it's tough to say for sure right now, but I would tend towards "yes". We plan on continuing to upgrade all themes that have had some measure of popularity.

Really great theme! Probably THE best free Drupal theme I've found!
Too bad I can't use it, because I have Drupal 5 site (need Ubercart).

The Drupal 5 port of this theme is now available for download. Not much testing has gone into it and is not supported by TNT or Acquia but I did spend a little free time getting it to work with Drupal 5. Hopefully nothing major is broken in the port but everyone is welcome to download it and give it a try (and fix any issues you may find) :)

Sorry to be such a noob, but can you tell me how to get a menu into the dwop down tabs as shown in your image (just below the search box)? I've installed the theme and I can't find the region in which to place the menu block.
